Instructions

  • First, spread the butter over a single side of each piece of bread. Set the bread aside, buttered side up.
  • Next, cut the slices of brie cheese and apple and take out the apricot preserves. Set up all of the ingredients around your cooktop.
  • Put a slice of bread, buttered-side down on a cold pan, turn on the stovetop, and build the sandwich while the cooktop temperature rises to medium. First, lay a single layer of brie on top of the slice of bread. Then, add a layer of apples. It’s okay if they overlap. Spoon the apricot preserves over the top and cover everything with a smaller second layer of brie. Top the sandwich with the second piece of bread, butter side up.
  • Let the sandwich continue to cook, until the bottom browns and becomes crispy. Flip the sandwich over and let the other side cook until brown and crispy as well.
  • Plate, cut if you desire, and enjoy!
